POKER FANS - Join us at the Rose & Crown Saturday 4th February for another great club night

The clubs annual "Sponsors Day" coincided with the start of winter. A bitterly cold wind swept over the pitch just to test the resolve of our brave supporters. It was really pleasing to see how many of them braved the cold and their added support carried the team through to a satisfactory draw againgst Leiston St Margarets.

Nigel had the eating/drinking side of things well organised and the after match atmosphere was first class, being much appreciated by home and visiting players as well as many of our sponsors and supporters. Many committee members put a lot of effort into the event and our thanks go to them. I noticed that our secretary had to tidy the floor afterwards with a small hand brush and dustpan. I will bring a vaccuum cleaner up next time, perhaps she would find that a bit easier.

Stanton Football Club is holding it's annual sponsors day this Saturday (26/11/11)  at the Rec. All Club and player sponsors have been invited to attend the match against High flying Leiston St Margrets and for refreshments after the match. Without the sponsors the club would not be able to continue so we look forward to saying thank you on Saturday and are hoping for a home win.
